Hello my darlings,
It’s November 1st, which means it’s time to post all my 31 Days of INKtober work again! In case you’re new, I belong to a facebook group called 31 Days of Halloween. It is a daily art project with a different subject for each of the 31 days of October. This year was based on a list of SpOoKy movies. It is not limited to art, you can write, draw, sew, or whatever it is that you do! 31 Days was started by a fantastic artist out of Utah, named Chris Bodily. And if you feel like being creative, you should join us next year. But wait! That’s not all!
If you are among the illustrator/artist types, you may have already heard about INKtober. Created by another Utah Illustrator Jake Parker. (Man what are ya’ll drinking over in Utah?? I think I need to visit.) Jake started INKtober in 2009, as a way to improve his inking skills and create better drawing habits. Much like Pay It Forward, it grew into what it is today, with thousands of artists all over the world practicing INKtober every year. Jake does post a prompt list every year on his website.
I like to participate in both of these wonderful challenges every October. They are one of the many reasons October is my favorite month in the entire year ( it has nothing to with my birthday being on the 27th, I swear). So I combine the two to create DuN DuN DuN! 31 DAYS OF INKTOBER!!
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for:
