Collage Sketchbook 2

Page 2 of the Collage Sketchbook!

This one is pretty simple. It’s just old comics I did in college pasted in. I had these tiny copies of them and I just couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. So I pasted them in. It’s kind of nostalgic for me to flip through the book and come across these. It reminds me of where I’ve been and how far I’ve come. While I can’t say I feel I’ve made a whole lot of progress on my comics, I do feel I’ve made progress as an artist.

The comic on the left is about the ever popular Fred. It’s one of the first comics I made in college. Fred has been a mainstay in my life. I created him in high school and continued to write stories about him for years. I haven’t tackled him in a very long time. I don’t know if I ever will again. But I love him.

The comic on the right is about my big Bubbykins, Simba, and Little Chipster. Simba has since passed away. Another reason this makes me nostalgic. Little Chipster isn’t so little anymore. It’s hard to read the story from this scan, it involves a fly and cat food. You know, all the important things for cats.
