Hello everyone!
This week I’m doing two blog posts. I don’t want to fall behind on anything, but I have an extra project in the works that needs a post to itself.
Right now though, I’m going to be focused on a project I started and failed. As most of you know, I participate in 31 Days of INKtober every year. It’s such a fun thing to do, and it’s a good way to connect with people. I didn’t finish INKtober due to time constraints, but I did hold in there for a majority of themes. You can read about my INKtober 2015 and see the artwork here.
A lot of my artist buddies wanted to continue to do something similar every month. So an old college classmate of mine, Claire Freeman, started an MCA facebook group that does just that. The month of November we did hands. I was really excited about this because I need all the anatomy practice I can get. Unfortunately I am a bad artist and didn’t make it through the whole month of that either. I did still get some good practice in though. I’m not going to stress myself out over reaching these goals, I feel like that will only hinder me more. The goal was to draw a different piece of anatomy every month. And I will get back to it. The month of December has proven to be quite busy with other things. I still draw everyday.
When I start up again I might go back to hands. I feel like I made progress, but I don’t feel like I made enough progress. Anyways, please enjoy this gallery of my hand practice from November 2015.
