As mentioned in the previous post I took an internship at the Poppington Art Gallery. Art Gallery to the wandering public, but also home base to a myriad of companies ranging from fashion design to motor oil, yes motor oil. To say the least Poppington was an interesting place to spend my final time in New York.
The second project I took on as an intern was a couple of dress designs for the Lady Vamp line. Unfortunately these designs never made it into production. The presentation image above was about as far as this project went. It was sad to work on a project only to see it axed, but alas that is part of the job. Either way these where fun to do, and something I never saw myself doing either. Fashion design was not a field I was even remotely interested in when I went to art school. Life will sometimes throw you into very strange places.
Below is the pattern on the dress.
